Jasleen and Alex interview Scott McCormick, author of so many great middle grade books! Some of his books include The Dragon Squisher, the Mr. Pants graphic novel series, a series of five history books on Audible (The Rivals! series, with a fifth one coming out this year), and a contemporary middle grade comedy called Mutually Assured Detention (which was selected as a Best of Audible for 2022).

Durham BookClub
Durham Book Club (DBC) is a student-driven community-building reading and writing program that is hosted by StrongHER TogetHER.
DBC operates year-round, leading to a concentrated celebration of shared stories from April to July. We also organize writing workshops, summer camps, and more - all for kids who like to read, write, and learn more about the people in their community.
Our mission is to empower middle school students in Durham, NC, fostering leadership and camaraderie through shared reading experiences.
Special thanks to our student leaders, Aanya and Xay, for their artistic help in creating this podcast. Aanya created our logo, and Xay wrote the intro and outro music in each podcast episode.
